WOW, that is SEXY!! And I just bought my 3" core. Any info on the differences of heat dissapation vs bare metal? I'd be very curious of what the black anodized metal does to effencieny. If it were very minimal, I might have to send mine back for color hehe.

Anodizing unlike powder coating does not have an effect on the cooling properties. It's a great option for the show without sacrificing any go

Anodizing is a much better process. Heat sinks and other components that are made of aluminum or other heat resistant materials some time use anodizing because it actually REMOVES heat from the object that is hot.

Powder coating will retain heat thus not allowing an inter cooler to actually perform its job after taking extreme abuse.

Powder coating will also chip (rocks) at a quicker process, unlike the anodizing which is in bedded into the aluminum, and requires more of a beating to show damage...

you will have to install 1/2" spacers on the side brackets to push the intercooler away from the car. Since its not going on yet, I didn't tighten the side bolts, but if I would I would probably crash the power steering lines that are right behind the intercooler. Stock IC is at least 1/2" away from them, ETS is not. But with spacers there should be enough space.

By the way the Fan in the front right behind the IC, is it only for AC ?????? want to take it off, just need to know if this is only for AC ..

Lookin' good and I'm liking the wheels a LOT too The spacers you need should be in the box as they are shipped with every EVO intercooler we sell If for some reason they didn't make it just let me know and I'll get a set out right away!

I admit it looks very good but in terms of it being stealthy, I think it's mostly for cosmetic reasons, as just about anybody now knows that Evo's come standard with an intercooler and a turbo.

My only concern is with the sun's heat. Everyone knows that black attracts the sun more than any other color as it absorbs every color.. My question is wouldn't this affect performance in the day for example on already hot summer days; for lets say DSM Shootout as an example?

Anyone willing to debate or discuss this question I would be more than happy to listen.

We could always anodize one white! Honestly though I'd doubt any measurable change at all in AIT at the throttle body between a bare vs. anodized core.

Here is another customer install picture
