intake and upper intercooler pipe question

I am currently looking at placing an order for numerous parts from ETS, but I had a real quick question. On the upper intercooler piping (one made for mini battery), do I have to have the ETS specific intake, or can I run a different brand? I currently have an AEM short ram intake, (this one specifically: http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/8427/f2901rn5.jpg) and was just wondering if there have been any customers that have had experience with this specific intake or another one not fitting? Also, I know you can flange them for a different BOV, is that flange directly welded onto the pipe? thanks for your time and clarification.

i have a HKS intake and it fits and i have seen many others used with this set up and no problems, as for the flange it is welded right on the pipe

I think it depends on the intake personally. The one I had previously did not fit with the ETS short route... so I wound up ordering the ETS intake as well.

We've confirmed the AEM intake system to fit with both versions of our piping so you should have no issues Typically we only weld flanges other than the stock tube style directly onto the piping when the intention is to vent the BOV to atmosphere as that orientation will usually require a custom recirculation solution.
