I hate that about this site - theres 8 pages and 100 posts just to get simple info that should be posted in the first page under a short FAQ section.
I dont need to read 78 times how people like the color just to fish through to find info on how it affects performance.
Nor do I need you to point out the flaws of this site. =)

ok so instead of asking other people to devote time to reading thru a thread and making an FAQ for YOU because YOUR such an important person that we should all work hard for you, or you could stop being lazy and read for a few minutes, then you might find that the layer of material that makes up the anodizing doesnt effect cooling properties at all, and you also might find a comment by someone who has a black ETS FMIC that says he drove for an entire year with his and has no rock chips what so ever

Hey Guys,
I'm not sure why my reply didn't post that I posted a couple days ago. The Anodizing does not keep any more heat in since it chemically bonds to the aluminum changing the properties of the metal. Paint on the other hand can really keep heat in. It's really more of an ascetic thing then a performance gain. You will also notice most heat sync and A/C units are anodized black as well.
Thanks Guys!
