ETS Titanium Muffler... 4.0?!

This is the first ETS full titanium muffler built and designed in house. This muffler is built completely from titanium and purge welded. We are going to offer up a unique design in 3.0" , 3.5" and 4.0" catback and downpipe back exhaust systems. Most of the exhaust systems on the market say they are titanium, but from our research shows the mufflers are titanium and bolt onto a stainless steel exhaust system. We are going to use a full titanium muffler, welded to titanium piping with titanium flanges and mounting hardware.

The exhaust system will can also be anodized and will naturally change to a blue/gold/purplish finish when heated.

stay tuned for pictures of the full exhaust system.

Thanks!

Michael

So weird.. I was just listening to vids of the Amuse R1 Titan and Akrapovic for the Evo X tonight, thinking.. "hmm, wonder what an ETS in titanium would sound like?"

Not sure what systems you guys are planning, but here's what I'd like to see (for the X, at least)..

Something similar in design and sound to the v2 regular or Quiet, or something in between (has to have that nice ETS growl). Twin outlet, with rolled tips. Preferably a system that could start out cat-back at 1st w/stock cat, then upgraded to tp or hfc, and then dp later on (sold individually, or even as a full system only would be fine though). Priced more competitively than the Akra system.. dunno, still might be tough.. full ETS v2 SS turbo-back is around $1800, full Akrapovic Ti is around $3400 (and is truly a beautiful piece of work in every aspect).

Just some thoughts.. I'm looking forward to seeing whatever you guys come up with!

Will you have ones for Evo X and Evo IXs? Hopefully these won't have any tapers/ bottlenecks at the flanges

I want something that is loud without sounding like a lawn mower. How is this going to sound in comparison to the BR race or billet mufflers respectively?

They are going to be a direct fit onto our exhaust systems. The complete exhaust system will be titanium including the mounts and brackets.

Thanks,

Michael
