Quick question about ETS intake

So i've been having a tiny issue with the filter I've pushed the pipe / couplers as far as they can go in and the ACD reservoir seems to be tearing up my filters. I've replaced it twice now and I just want to know if there is anything I should have done/ can do to prevent it from destroying anymore filters :/

I have noticed that other pic's have the filter not as close to the reservoir as mine but I can't figure how to get it away from it.

Over the years we have had to make a couple changes to our intake design. We started out with a short route version that put the filter in a lower location. This setup worked great in our initial tuning but with selling over 300 intakes a year we received 10 or so complaints about the MAF needing to be re-scaled and re-tuned to run our intake. The problem was due to turbulence making it's way back up from the turbo to the MAF. This was due to all the different bolt on turbocharger configurations.

We had to redesign the intake to fit the following vehicles.

Evo 8 03-04 Non ACD Factory Piping
Evo 8 03-04 Non ACD Stock Route
Evo 8 03-04 Non ACD Short Route
Evo 8 03-04 Black, Red, Green, BBK, Turbochargers
Evo 8 05+ ACD Factory Piping
Evo 8 05+ ACD Stock Route
Evo 8 05+ ACD Short Route
Evo 8 05+ Black, Red, Green, BBK, Turbochargers

The added 45 degree bend in the pipe keep any turbulence that occurs from directly affecting the MAF air flow. It looks to me that this intake needs to have a bracket revision. We can do this. If you could PM your address i will get a bracket designed and sent your way.

Thanks!

Michael
