Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I have a friend in New Mexico who has an MR for immediate delivery. The car is silver in color. If anyone is interested send me a PM and I'll get you all the details.

The dealer mark-up is used to help the dealers (pre-pay) for Warranty work.

I can not think of another reason why a Dealer would ask more than MSRP?

I would much rather buy a used 03 for 23-24g. Put the MR tranny in it, cause i know sooner or later your gonna find wrecked ones and that Vortex Generator and call it a day. I know for a fact it will be less then 40g. plus put all the money you save into extra mods.....

I know the MR has the 6 spd, alum. roof, weighs 300lbs lighter etc........I'm could easily slap in a galant final drive and run faster than the MR top speed and stilll just as quick. I just don't see why, except for the name. But CONGRATS to the owners of their MR's. I love them to death, but trying to get out of it later is going to be a hassle. Just my $ .02 as well.
Dude, it's not always about speed. Do the math.
EVO VIII MSRP = 30,499
MR MSRP = 34,999

difference $3,500

For that price you get
Bilstien shocks
BBS forged aluminum wheels
a 6 speed transmission ,
a $300 vortex strip ( 50 cents worth of plastic) ,
Boost Gauge,
HID.
Easily worth the difference in price if you were to buy all that stuff even after selling your original parts it's still a bargain.

If I had the money I would get an MR but it cost $14,000 more than my used O3 that I got for 26,100 out the door. I currently owe 20K on my 03 evo.

I think the MR is worth the money but not many people can afford a car that is close to 40K out the door.

If you have an 03 EVO like me you would be lying if you didn't want the MR and if you had money you would get one

i dont see whats so great about the MR really. im not making fun of what your saying, but it you look at the spec diffs from GSR to MR, there isnt all that much difference except 6 spd, alum. roof, rims, etc. iono, just to me, i guess the price diff isnt worth it. GSR and MR have the same engine specs, same exterior except a new color and rims. oh yea, and the vortex generator. but iono, thats just my opinion. i think its cuz i want the white 05 evo gsr with sun and sound package. but then again, the MR does have a little bit diff suspension, but iono. im not a full-on-track-person that needs it. so i guess it really depends on which trim evo you want. a more luxurious (tho hardly luxurious compared to other cars which is awesome) evo or a super-race-ready evo. ok i just realized this post was the most pointless post ever. i quit. lol

Hey Twan,

Where are you located(state) and what dealership ? Just want to get a price because I live in Ft.Lauderdale Florida. So their should be similar fees if you are from Florida.
