The holes are there for weight reduction and to start 37.8 inane threads per day about why the holes are there.

Well they sure put in a big triangle that impeded airflow right in the middle of the bumper last time around, purely for cosmetic "towing the company line" reasons.

cant blame them for wanting to advertise - mitsu 8
but the holes on the 9 are not advertising anything, thus must be for a purpose
