As an American living in the UK... I hear that kind of comparison all the time. Everyone seems to forget to take everything into consideration when pricing items abroad.
On a side note my buddies FQ340 has a lot of HKS bits on it as factory. FQ360 makes no mention of the same items ie intake, exhaust, FMIC hardpipes etc..
Nice car - but if Mitsu brought it hear it would not sell. Approx. $60,000 for an evo with 366 hp? I'd rather have my MR with mods. The people that would consider buying a 60,000 evo would also be considering a Z06 Corvette for $72,000 or a shelby GT500 with 500hp (if they can find one of those **** things for MSRP - yeah, right). OR the countless Audi's Mercedes and BMW 5 Series. Evo's are awesome - but tough sell in this country. However, offer a 366hp special edition EVO FQ-360 for $37,995 or comparable and you might see quite a few MR owners jump to that.
Fq-400
From my understanding the FQ-400 Has been announced and will be slightly modified from the 8 FQ 400. The 360 has NOTHING ON THE 400. Except for the turbo lag. 360 is also supposed to be about 7k cheaper. Its probably the way to go for daily drivers
