Well while i was at work today the mitsu manager showed me these pictures that got faxed to the dealership from their rep(im guessing from MMNA) sent him like 20 pictures of the 2008 lancer and lancer evo. He said that the picture of the evo was the final spec and that it would come in the DSG 6 speed transmission as well as a manual 5 spd clutch. The backend looks similar if not the exact same as the concept X but has a different wing. The front end is similar but now has a lip i believe as well as the 2 front headlights and 2 smaller ones above the lip. Unfortunately these pictures were faxed in and they are only on paper. I'll see if I can't find a scanner somewhere or something but regardless. The final design is being revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
I'm gonna send a pm to the guy from MMNA who posts on here every now and then and ask him if he could possibly post the pics up himself

The X will be launched in ONLY...I repeat ONLY a dual clutch 6 speed automatic in its first year. They are considering a manual transmission option in the 2nd or 3rd run of the X but not in the launch. There was an entire memorandum faxed along with some "teaser" pics to Mitsu dealers.
Same here. I already had an experience with a first run re-design of the Honda Civic SI. Too many problems for me to keep it. Which in a way is good because now I have my Evo--and apparently just in time before they put the "other" engine in it.
The only bad is that I lost my 5k down payment on the Honda.

At least the next Evo is not as ugly as the next Nissan GTR with the "haven't found the words to describe" headlights & body. However, the taillights on the next GTR do looks great.
