Evolution X Release Date
Uh guys if you look at Mitsubishi's website it says right on the main page at the bottom spring of 2008. Just mouse over the 2008 Lancer Evolution Button and it tells you that.
Thanks for raining on the parade. Lot's of people expect manufacturers to post the most conservative time possible to allow for shipping delays, possible last-minute changes, etc. Hopefully we can expect it much sooner than that, because it seems like the Evo X is much closer to production spec than the new STi which is expected Jan/Feb 08. One would hope Mitsu would try to tie/beat the STi on-sale, since spec is already finalized, no need to hold back. Of course, this may just be my wishful thinking...
Are dealership stated that in August 07 it is suppose to arrive here in Reno, NV.
Also a dealership in Boston is pre-ordering them. They must be getting here soon. I wouldn't pre-order a car unless I get it with in a 3-5 month duration.

To be honest, I think their guesses are as good as our's....
The X however is brand new from the ground up. New body, new styling, new suspension, new driveline, new engine, etc.. I doubt it shares many parts with the IX.
Spoke with the Evo salesman at Schaumburg Mitsubishi in Schaumburg IL, couple of days ago.
I have no idea if this is BS, but this is exactly what he told me:
>They will have the first EVO X cars by December of 2007.
>The first shipment will be SST units with manual gearbox cars to start arriving some months later.
>There will not be multiple trim levels. None. No RS, no ES, no MR. None. There will only be the regular LANCER and the EVO. The car will be priced in the low $30K range... meaning under $35,000. He said that they are trying to stay away from the inflated pricepoint of the MR ($36,000) because the cars didn't sell very well at that price.
>The cars will have 304HP *he sounded a bit sketchy on this* (I have no idea if that means at the wheels, crank, de-tuned, boost clipped, etc... )
***** Like I said... this could all just be total BS because they guy knows that I'm in the market to buy and he just want's to get me interested / on the line for a quick sale. So take this with a grain of salt...*****
Just thought I'd share my experience.
