Is terrible. From what I've seen they're trying to distance the WRX from the STi. Rumors are that the STi is going to be 8.5 inches wider! (wide body) If that the case the masses can keep their camry/WRX and real enthusiast the STI.

Those photochops don't look that bad. I think the hatchback actually looks better than the sedan. Looks like its been lowered, bigger wheels and front lip though...

edmunds.com does a comparison test between the '08 WRX and the '07 Mazdaspeed 3

The '07 Mazdaspeed 3 won out.

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=121942

Inside Line Editor in Chief Scott Oldham says:
This is an easy one. I like the Mazdaspeed 3 over the new WRX.

It's easy because I liked the Mazdaspeed 3 more than the old WRX and I like the old WRX more than the new WRX. I think that puts the new WRX in 3rd place, but I've lost count.

What I do know is this: The Mazdaspeed 3 costs less than the Subaru, but feels more expensive. It handles better than the WRX, despite its lack of all-wheel drive. It's as quick as the WRX despite its much smaller engine. And it's much better-looking.
pretty much owned.

Subaru is trying to attract drivers with length challenged arms.

I like the new STI, at least it looks like it will do well as a Rally car unlike the new Evo X which is bigger heavier. The new WRX is fugly though. The Evo X is not a bad looking ride, I just wish it didnt look like a Mazda 6 and they should have kept the 4G63 with a manual tranny option.

wrx vs mazda speed 3

WRX has more body roll and looks the worse of the two.

I like it. I'll take the white one, but it must have something like SST of the evo.

Looks decent, but then again any Subaru looks good compared to that god-awful-looking B9 Tribeca thing

Glad to know I don't have to speculate whether Subaru's design team is on crack or not... they went and proved it!
