SST for sure. Not very fun to drive a stick in a stop and go traffic but in a track it will be a different story. Here goes the stick or auto dilemma again!

^^^^ At least now we have a choice... I will go for the SST for the commute. Besides if I feel like shifting I'll still have my IX.

you'll still be shifting with SST, but it would be quicker and more precise than with manual
there is a reason WRC and F1 use sequential manual gearboxes as opposed to manual

I'm really concerned about how much power the SST will hold. If it winds up being robust enough, I can dig it, but if it's going to be unreliable in a modded car I just can't do it.

Isn't this poll inaccurate now? From what we've read the GSR will only be 5-spd right? And the SST will only come in the MR?

Bump... looks like the SST is pulling away.

ADMIN/MODS, please change the poll title "GSR with 5-speed" to "MR SST 6-speed"

if there was a 6spd manual tranny i would prefer that... lots of people saying that with the RS there is less "things that can break" but wouldn't an automatic tranny go out before an manual? i'll gladly take power windows/locks before i get an automatic in a performance oriented car...

DSG/SST or not... BMW, Ferrari, Aston Martin, GM, etc besides Audi can't build a flappy paddle gearbox to perform more reliable than a manual tranny..

I will opt again for the manual transmission. My commute back and forth from home to work will have no influence on my decision. I am fortunate to not have the stop'n'go like some of you do in the bigger cities. I love the idea that they are offering this SST transmission though. I can't wait to see how some of the privateers and shop cars start running on time attacks / time trials / auto-x...etc etc. Its going to make things a lot more interesting. New Evo...New STi...New GT-R....its going to get real aggressive....More than we know

If i end up getting one (it has been growing on me) it'll be a manual, the autoshifting just isn't that much fun. Over all though it is a "wait and see" situation.

I'm the same way. I'd like the manual. Well, first it'll be cheaper, and there isn't too much traffic where I live.

They better hurry up and start selling those already...!!! I'm tired of driving my POS car :P.
