Does this mean no folding rear seats for the X?

Take a look at this picture from a prior post...

It looks like the cross member would be in the way of any rear trunk access.



Some of you might not care, but I do.

doesnt look like it. it looks like that area is needed to improve on the rigidity of the car like the CT9A chassis.

Well it's nice to see that it's getting essentally a shock tower brace.

I'm surprised it's there though as the base lancer chassis is already 50% stronger than the Evo IX's reinforced chassis.

You might still be able to fit a center pass through though. Better than nothing.

Haha, JET didn't know you were slummin' on here

The current EVO's don't have the pass-through either, its a little bit of a bummer. I didn't even notice until after I had the car for a month or so :P The back seat does have a nice fold-down armrest w/ cupholder though!

They could theoretically have that cross member with fold down seats, and they'd be somewhat useful for certain things...such as 2x4s or something.
