WTF, the X keeps getting slower and slower to 60. C&D gave it 0-60 in 5 sec, R&T in 5.2, now MotorTrend is saying 5.4. I don't care about if it's faster on the Track. I don't Track my car every weekend, but i do Flog it 0-60 every chance i get. I'm disappointed with the X, so glad I have the last true Evo, the IX.

Yeah i hear ya on the speed estimates. I get the feeling C&D drove it, but Motor Trend didn't.

They both drove it according to what they wrote. You know...there WERE driving impressions and all.

I wish it was quicker in a straight line, but that won't be hard to fix.

they are just testing the same car that other mag have tested and those car aren't 100% finalize/tune. I'm pretty sure it'll be faster than 5 sec 0-60 when the real deal hits the shore.

X with SST can do manual shift in Super-Sport-Mode. That's great!

FYI - I believe the VI was/is faster, lighter, and more nimble than the VII-IX. So it's no surprise "IF" the final version of the X is a little slower.

I don't know if you guys saw that video on youtube of Kino****a (Evo Master from Best Motoring) driving the Evo X but the shifts looks INSANELY fast on the TCSST. He wasn't even in s-sport mode, he was was in sport. Although I hate paddle shifts and automatics, I think the Evo X MR tranny will be pretty crazy. Its nice that the MR has two piece Brembos, and wider wheels also. If the X MR looked and little more agressive, had a 4G63 and a normal 6-spd I would have been all over it. I take it all back...I forgot it has dual exhausts. One Megan is good enough for me.

" The rear wing stays, however, standard on the MR and optional on the GSR, as a backward-baseball-cap salute to the boy racers. "

"hard-core fanatics intent on mounting track-day jihads"

"Evos VII-IX were based on a vehicle designed more for AARP members than WRC fans and resulted in a disproportionately tall greenhouse and an awkward profile."

I hear echoes of my GF asking, "why do you want to get a Lancer again?" lol

We need numbers for the SST model. Correct me if Im wrong, but the all these reviews are based on the MT model, right?
