I still want to get the X, even with all these review thread !!
Hi All,
I love evos since I drove a EVO 6 that brought to here for a car show for a friends shop. I drove it about 40 min on the street and highway (with dealer plate), I didn't do anything crazy since I am not used to right hand steering. But I love the car, even the EVO 6 slower than my BPU Supra TT on highway, but the cornering is batter than the Supra !! I used to drive 300ZX TT, RX-7 and Supra TT, You can tell I am crazy about Japanese sports car, So when I heard a company can import EVO VII here at evom.net, I almost order a silver one ! Luckly I wait for EVO 8 and get a silver one on 2003, later on trade it in for a EVO IX RS on 2006. Both EVO had almost every bolt on parts for performance, I got no problem at all, may be I don't track my evos, neither I didn't drag race with other sport cars on every lights. May be both evos were my weekend cars, not enough time to tell the reliability for the evos. But I have no complain for Mitsubishi products and I will get the EVO X once it came to here, I already sold my EVO IX and ready for a EVO X now !! For me I don't care if the EVO X slower than EVO IX or STi or whatever. I am going to have big smile every time when I get in my EVOs !! Its my money ,my EVO and my enjoyment !!

I don't care about magazine tests.
Magazine tests are nothing but a rough estimation of what the X has to offer.
The testers are not out there to break records and never will. There are too many varubles; Driver, elevation, temperature, humidity etc..
When the car arrives at my local dealer, I will test drive it and decide for my self.
Keep in mind, it’s never a good idea to buy a first year’s production car.

????
all the reviews posted in this forum have been positive.
The Twin Clutch Transmission is going to kick ***. The car looks good inside and out and has all the safety features you want. oh yeah, cruise control too
Day one purchase for me.

You are always going to have two Evo camps: People who want the hard-edgeness of the past models that has slightly diminished over the past several years or the people who want all the creature comforts along with all the power and performance. Hopefully the new X will be somewhere right in the middle...
Why not SST ?? If it can do both way ?? I am sure it shft smoothier than I do !!
im kinda confused on the tranny is it like a tip-tronic? from what i gathered from an article that was posted on here its exactly like a manual with out the clutch but in a pic i saw in import tuner it looked like and automatic shifter. some one clairfy please

What bothers me, is all the people on the forum seems to be talking about the new evo like they know it. The truth is, none of us has driven it, none of us actually know how the new engine will perform. With the little previews out the re on the net, most of the stuff about the car is still speculation. ETC, ETC, ETC... So why all the ranting? If you don't like the new evo... well... just don't buy it
. Wait for the XI?
So the new block is aluminum. Okay, so you may not squeeze the 1000 hp out of it... But how do we know? There's so little info about it that what everyone is saying is pure speculation. Yeah, the previous engine was great. But it was also an old design. It's time for something new, and I'm sure it'll perform just as good.
As for the mods... From what I've noticed, people has been getting so good with mods, I guarantee you it won't take much time before we'll have stuff available.
I like this car, and since I missed my chance getting the IX, I'm definately going to get this one. I can also bet you that it'll "get up on it" just fine, I'm sure it'll corner even better, and that this car will still be more than most of us can handle....
Just my 2 cents
