So the VIII was the VIII, the IX was the IX. They finally get to X and they don't call it X, they call it the Evolution! Why, the heck, not?!?!

 

Actually, in American markets they always call the 8's 9's & 10's just "Evolutions", thus JUST going by the name there's no distinction between a 8 or a 10.

Only outside of America do they refer to them by their numerical namesakes.
