Not every one gets an RS to race.. sometimes its because that's the only trim they can afford.. so if that was my situation I would be complaining as to why the IX RS has them and I wont.. I mean what the hell.. Brembos should be standard as to the safety this vehicle requieres.. when driven by some regular joe..

^ your right over here the majority of the RS's sold will be so because they are cheaper and to that effect the rs will probably come out over here with the brembo's

but as to the model in the picture, in Japan that model is made to be sold as a race car and nothing else

The JDM VIII came from the factory with steelies just for transportation purposes. Most JDM RS cars get upgraded as they are the basis for lots of club race/rally programs.

Remember that our RS came with GSR wheels, Brembos, and YES, even A/C.

I expect that things will not be much different for the USDM X.

I'm VERY interested to see what happens with this car regarding SAYC, ABS, center diff control, etc.

JDM Evo RS cars have always been stripped down models. The X is no different. That doesn't mean that the US market RS will be bare bones. It will probably be similarly equipped to the US VIII RS and IX RS cars.

I seem to remember everyone critizing the looks of the Evo 8 when it first came over. Don't really here it as much anymore. Just takes a little getting used to.

It looks like a race teams car that they get from the factory, before they tear it apart and make it a true racecar

To put things into perspective, anyone who cannot afford a $33k car but thinks he/she can afford a $27k car shouldn't be buying either one.

all the VII, VIII and IX RS's in japan all came the same way. its the most tunable one of the bunch. just like that stripped down WRX. its meant for people to tune and add modification and go to the track. u don't need power windows and radio at the track. don't need brembos, billstines and advans if they are all gonna be upgraded anyway because those are vital parts on the track. so why would mitsubishi make u pay more for their parts which the car is intended and advertised for tuning and track use. its what the RS is going back to the CN9A chassis.
