Will there be a Evo X Wagon?

Hey Guys,

I'm a new member on this forum and was hoping to find some definitive info on this. I am amazed by the Evo X, but the body style I want is a wagon. This way, I don't have to get a SUV and I don't have to drive a boring SUV, I'm driving a Evo. My gut says that they will offer a wagon since the STI has that set up, but does anyone know for sure when or if it will arrive? Thanks a lot guys.

There is some talk that for 2009 model year Mitsubishi will bring a Sportback ( http://www.worldcarfans.com/3050822....rtback-concept ) variant of regular Lancer and later on there will be an Evo version (although I am not sure if Evo version will make it to the USA). The world premier of the Sportback is supposedly to take place at 2008 Geneva Auto Show (March 2008). When will the sales of the regular Sportback begin in USA I have no clue but if I had to guess it would probably be by summer/early fall 2008.

Hey blitzkrieg, thanks a lot for digging that up for me. That car looks amazing! I'd even venture to say I think it looks better than the Evo sedan. I'd like to take this thing on the track during weekends too .

Take one look at the X's roof line and tell me there's not a coupe waiting to get out. I'd be all over it. I think I use the rear doors maybe once every other month when I've dropped something behind the seat and I can't get at it from the front.

Ok, anyone with mad photochop skills?

Agreed. The only time I open the rear doors is to vacuum out the interior.

An Evo coupe would be pure sex!

Eh,
If ya want a wagon I'd consider the subie, the Sportsback looks ill but the history of Mitsubishi releasing the past Evo wagons exclusively to everyone but north america will suggest that they may do the same for the U.S. crowd unless they think they can actually sell to us seeing how dodge & now subaru is now p!mpin the wagon

Damn you guys totally jacked my thread. Haha, but a coupe evo would look sick. How about a convertible evo while we're at it?

doubt we'll see a coupe. sadans are actually stronger with the B piller between the doors. (M3 racecars are almost always made from sedans)

So is it official that there are currently no plans for a North American Ralliart Sportback?
