I agree, mitsu failed! 79k is way to much...

 

I think it's funny that they suggest that it needs a new turbo, manifold, and extensive work on the ECU just to get 400bhp. And correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that still less than 400whp?

 

At nearly 80 grand, they're tapping on gtr pricing. I feel like the 0-60 need to drop a lil lower and maybe make a fq 460

 

I agree it's a bit overpriced but you can't really use a direct currency conversion to compare the pricing...I'm sure many of you already know that.

lets see current car has round off 300bhp, you pay 40k for 100bhp more, lets see hmmmm........40k divided by 100bhp = $400.00 per bhp

People don't realize that. They just want something to cry about. It's UK pricing and you can't just do a currency converter to see what it costs in US dollars because it's being priced in another market. Glad to see someone else has a head on their shoulders.

Who knows, it's not sold in this market. You can't take a price of something sold somewhere else in the world and just google the currency translation and say I wouldn't pay that much of my money for that!

I hate to say it cause I love mitsubishi so much. But this is another example of why someone in Mitsubishi Strategic Global Marketing needs to be shot (aka fired). The strategy of mitsubishi's line has been all over the place and there is so much overlap its not even fun. You have lancers that are more like EVOs you have EVOs that have potential to be stronger but they dont. and now they do this knee jerk reaction of saying in a meeting.

Middle Management Marketing director: " Hey I got a great Idea? lets **** of everyone that just bought the MR package and come out with a newer EVO, this time we will give it more power"

Upper Management Marketing director: "I agree, Lets change production during this bad economic slump since we didnt plan for this ahead of time and hope that it works out in the end. Maybe the MR package people from 08 wont be pissed of. You know kinda like how we pissed of the GTS Lancer 2008 owners when we introduced a 2009 2.4L engine."

Middle Management Marketing director: " Ya, then we decided to introcue a Touring package mid way during the 2009 marketing cycle and offer Stability and Traction control.

VP of Marketing: " sounds good, make it happen, when we get back from lunch, I have another idea for 2010 that we should really get out of the way now, but its good pissing off our base, lets go play some golf"

Its a cheesy attempt to capture the moment. but honestly there doesnt seem to be any real planning here.

The price is too high and your not getting enough.. They should have came up with this last year when they were releasing the 2008 EVO X and made a 3 teir system, your GSR, MR and MR GOLD or something.. coming out with this is super to **** off everyone who owns an EVO X now

 

For that price everybody would rather get the new gtr, fu(k for that price i would never buy a evo x fq 400. If mitsu every priced a evo like that, then it obvious they have mental issues, especially if its a 4 cyclinder.
