I think if they want to compete with GT-R, they should go step forward with engine, dont care what its gonna be hybrid diesel or no.. and they should give us a choice of sedan or coupe, like Subaru offers Hatch or Sedan.

It does but the cost of developing it (R&D, crash testing, etc) most likely would never make sense for Mitsu to do it

How about a coupe version to compete with the upcoming Toyota/Subie FT-86? and call it "Mitsubishi Eclipse"? AWD turbo or RWD but not FWD only.

I would prefer them to build an Eclipse on the Lancer platform and make Ralliart and Evo version of it. I would want it to be kind of like a poor mans Nissan GT-R.

 

Looks pretty damn good for a 2 door if they ever make one.
