According to Mitsubishi's press release today the '11 has a new paint color: Octane Blue. I didn't see any pictures in the release. So, I guess it's similar to octane blue pearl, just no pearl?

Strange they don't show it as an option for the gsr... pics anybody?

well its actually the same blue, just that before it wasnt available for you guys in the US in Mr Trim....

 

I see. It's not blue pearl, but it's a blue that was on the '10, but not in the US. So, if I find a picture of a 2010 MR X in blue it's the same blue as what is now available on the '11?

 

We have Octane Blue Pearl also reffered as OBP here in canada. $160 paint charge on it. Want to see what an EVO X looks like with OBP?

 

If and When I go to get my 2011 X MR I will be getting it in the OB it is just a gorgeous color.

 

its the exact same color thats on the 2010 GSR (OBP). They changed it to be an exclusive MR color for 2011 thats all.

 

MR's look great in Octane Blue.

 

I also believe they're painting the side and hood vents the body color of the car on 2011 MR's. At least I believe this is true on the Octane Blue one.

I've got one too. It's one of only 2 2010 USA MR's painted by Mitsubishi prep in octane blue and the blue is definitely my favorite color.

I may be biased, I do love em in white but there is something about the blue that really sets the car off.
