Is this new tranny for upcoming Evo XI?

Looks like it have front wheels AYC. Or I'm wrong?

The description for the first figure make it sound like the power can be shifted left and right on the FRONT axle as well as the rear. But everything else sounds like they are just talking about torque vectoring on the rear.

new tranny or new drivetrain you mean?

that looks like a full blown drivetrain to me... might have to re-read the whole thing another 50 times cause it's mad confusing lol

i read it and it sounds like its a patent for the S-AWC found in the evo x. it basically talks about how to control over and understeer by use of multiple systems namely a "right and left wheel torque generating device" which is AYC, a "front and rear differential limiting device" which is ACD, and a "braking force generated by a braking device" which is ASC; all controlled with yaw rate sensors, etc.

notice this is a US patent submitted on 3/19/2008 and granted on 7/20/2010...

this is nothing new. in fact you can see a very similar diagram in mitsu's very own AWC presentation: http://media.mitsubishicars.com/chan...ience/releases

Looks like it is. Simply a drivetrain of Exo X. Nothing new.
