Could also be the redonk lease deals on the EVOs currently.
Mirage was released in September to some of the higher volume dealers. Others got it in October.

Even as a higher volume Evo dealer, we maybe sell 5 or 6 a month.

Outlander Sport/RVR is by far as a way their highest volume seller.

As soon/if the Outlander Sport gets a 4B11T and SST or 5spd I'm buying one.

I don't know that this will happen on a manufacturer level. But uuuuuuh, we've talked to a special partner of ours about the possibility of a Ralliart Outlander Sport, as proof of concept that we want to have made for our dealership.

But he's working on another special project right now.

I had an Outlander Sport and that was my complaint and why I also traded it in. The car is severely under powered. And then when you stepped on it to get decent acceleration, it was really loud and just sounded like it was struggling. Also if you are on the heavy footed side, you won't get those great mpgs. Most of the time I accelerated slowly and I still didn't get the advertised mpg.

"I think Evolution 10 is the last model with petrol engine."

I doubt we will be seeing a new Evo any time soon. That is a quote from a few weeks ago. Ryugo Nakao, head of Mitsubishi's Product Projects and Strategy Group. Basically, don't expect another Evo until they release one with a hybrid powertrain.

Its not entirely impossible.
In cooperation with PSA, Mitsubishi made special Outlander for EU market. Equipped with TC-SST and 154hp PSA Diesel. So the question is why the hell not?
Or they could simply use 237hp 4b11 and pair it to the diesel 6sp auto tranny from MY14 Outlander, long gears and we could have 26-27 mpg, CUV pocket rocket.

There is no Evo XI dev. It's on hold until hybrids suck less, read the other thread.

Nope, can't imagine why people would predict the demise of Mitsubishi Cars NA. Total speculation with no basis. Also has nothing to do with their generally inferior products, mediocre dealer network (no offense intended... just talking volume), or not-so-stellar reliability.

They're not doing this to shut the doors three months later. Future death possible? Sure. Not in 2014, though.

I didn't say any of those things. I just stated the fact that I have seen threads like this literally every year since 2003.

I just bought my eighth Mitsubishi two months ago, a 2014 model.

I'm not ignorant to the fact that Mitsubishi has been hurting for 10 years. Obviously every body knows that.

That only fixes 1/3 of the problem for MMNA, and partially at that. I don't even think it'll drive much in the way of sales. Maybe it gets them to 100k annual, but they're stuck being a niche brand until they can deliver products that are consistently competitive and as long as their dealer network is thin. Most people aren't going to seek out the C/D segment cars unless they're really special... and that's a tough task given the cars (including Nissan's) they'll be competing against.
