Turn off the lights, it's all over for the Evo
oh, that car is still on my bucket list, too. LOL. in all seriousness, i plan to save some money, re-fi the Evo and use the funds to buy an R32 GTR sometime in the near future. having my Evo an an R32? i can die happy.
Ha, this one got reposted all over--the 3/31 post dates meant it wasn't likely meant as April Fool's. Yeah, I wrote it up, too.
Someone posted this in the comments, though. Can anyone else verify that this letter is real?

Needless to say, the post date and scan without a signature make me a little skeptical and I'd rather confirm that it's real before writing up an oops.

so how come 2013 was the first time since the dsm era did Mitsubishi actually make profit? sales and gross has been on the steady incline, why would they pull out when they're actual on target for a good profitable 2014?
if they pull out of the us now, it'll be like packing away a 50,000 piece puzzle before you put in the last piece, it just doesn't make any sense
and there has been a manufacturer conformation that the evo isn't stopping in 2015
Here, now please stop with the over speculation, and being sucked into rumors and have faith in Mitsubishi

I still wanna know what the something is, though, and my rant on the lack of overall brand strategy still stands.
Thanks for posting the whole one. TBH, if '15 is the last year they're offering the Evo X and there's a '15/'16 SOMETHING in the works, it makes sense that they're halting production of the X in '14.

no worries, I can see there strategies, they're moving forward on the technologies and they have to design and build the entry level lancer first, they have left if too long as there will be a year or two between the evo x and the evo 11, it was the same for the evo 9 and x, the next evo WILL be here in 4 years!
Just sucks cos I wanted my x to last 'till the 11.... but i'm at 80k miles now and I may need to trade for a lower mileage x to keep me going lol
The only thing I really see going wrong is all the evo "fans" ready to jump ship and drop them like a brick in water.....
