2017 Lancer? Really?
I thought they were discontinuing the Lancer and that's one of the reasons they were dropping the Evo..
But Mitsu is about to release their new 2017 Lancer. Is there any timetable when we might be getting something exciting from Mitsu?
I've heard that rumors that it is supposed to be the concept car from Gran Turismo..

If nissan is going to start playing a role in making evos they will get waaayyy overpriced, and the quality will drop through the floor. Over the past few years Nissan has really dropped, like seriously the G and Z series is terrible (im speaking from experience). The GTR is an awesome car, but there is always room for improvement.

Here's one link that talks about Nissan owning rights to some of the cars that Mitsubishi makes. It doesn't say what technology they'll be using for the Evo but it does state that they own the rights to it now so it could be making a comeback

If the car will be resurrected under nissan down the road that likely bodes well for the unmolested surviving 8,9 and X models. One would think they might appreciate as the air cooled 911s. Probably not to the magnitude of the value bump those models are getting but probably a noticeable bump nonetheless.

I wonder if this new lancer Gts will have future aftermarket parts to have it an EVO X?
Just by looking at the specs it's 168 hp. OK This is non turbo I'm guessing?
They say it's has 4b11 engine? So this GT 2.0L with manual transmission(paddle shifters I think) going for 22,495? And it's all wheel drive.
My main question is this. Would you save money buying this 2016 lancer for 22 stacks and hopefully modifying to make into 2014 EVO X ?
I think I rather go buy '14 EVO X instead of buying this new ugly Lancer.
