Note to rubelcon: The STi will be coming with the Spec C suspension (as well as a standalone, I guess). The latest evo magazine tried out the "Type 25" - basically a US-spec STi with a Spec C suspension, against the WR1 (aka Petter Solberg Edition), STi Type RA Spec C and the oldie but goodie P1. The winner? Type 25, hands-down. It's looking like a US-spec STi w/Spec C suspension is the one to have...

As far as the MR color goes: I want green, since that is what Mitsu is going to screw a lot of faithful owners out of that upgrade to the MR... Clever, but not very good at sustaining a loyal customer base. My Evo will be my first and last Mitsu.

i'd go for white cuz no one have the white one
everyone here in the d.c area have yellow/sliver/blue

and few red and i haven't seen any black one on the street yet

i'd see one white one when evo first came out on route 7
around sterling dats about the only time

anyways anything the new mr will come with sun roof?

MR gray is unique among Evos, not the people to each other.

A Nice Burnt Orange or Matallic Green would be awesome if they decided to spring more colors on us!

I have officially delayed my Evo purchase (not that anyone cares) and now plan on getting an MR in Nov/Dec (whenever they're here). Plan on Grey or Silver with black or gunmetal aftermarket rims.

Don't forget that could be Nov/Dec of 2009 since no one really knows for sure if we'll get it But FWIW the grey is

Don't forget that could be in 6 months.. since no one except maybe the CEO of Mitsubishi who said it's coming and the Mitsu website says in the Fall..

Where does it say that? I was cruising around and couldn't find it Up to this point I'd only heard rumors, so if there was an official statement then rock on

Car News briefs: Mitsu Evo MR coming to U.S.; Euro Caddy?

By AUTOWEEK

The Mitsu Evo MR, seen here at its 2003 Tokyo auto show debut, will come to the U.S. after all.

If you read our report on Mitsubishi’s 2004 Evolution MR (AW, Feb. 23), you’re ahead of the curve. None other than Mitsu U.S. chief Finbarr O’Neill confirms the Subaru WRX STi Spec C-fighter will arrive on our shores by fall. The MR (for Mitsubishi Racing) comes with a six-speed manual tranny, active center differential, better medium-to-high-rpm power and substantial weight reductions by using aluminum wherever possible. Look for the U.S. version to start around $31,000.
