So when the hell are the 05's gonna start hitting the showrooms rather than the 04's ? The 04s just started hitting the dealers.

i can understand his remorse. if i had a car for a year or less and then more goodies came out for the car i would be mad too. luckily for me the RSX hasnt really changed in the past 3years.

oh and the reason we dont have AYC is b/c it wont fit in the US Evo cause we have to have a 14gallon gas tank. thats the minimum. in japan they have 12gallon i believe.

im looking foward to a '05 Evo GSR (MR is cool, but i want a sunroof lol)

Since Mitsu modded the turbo for 2005 and it still has a warranty, that means I can too, right? >=)

Most of the time, but not always. Case in point, another Mitsu product. The 1G DSM was a small, light-ish, fast, fun, sporty, AWD and turbo car. Then the 2G came out. Better looking, and nicer inside, but bigger, heavier, and not any faster. Not slow, but with the minor tweak in power came more weight, so it evens out. Then, they make a mess of the car with the 3G Eclipse (Not a DSM anymore). Its even bigger, no more AWD, no more turbo, not very attractive, and much slower than the 1G and 2G. So, I think everyone should be happy that Mitsu is actually IMPROVING on this car. New stuff happens with all cars. Every year new things come out, or new features, or more power. But, at least with the Evo, its getting better, not worse.

Yeah, really.. just be glad that all Evo's aren't turning into OZ rally's or Ralliart's like the death gave to the Eclipse. That car was absolutely ruined with the last redesign... I really wasn't a fan of the 2G's myself either.. I had a 94' TSi AWD and I believe that was the best year of all the dsm's.. no pop up headlights, better tranny, and pretty quick right out of the box for when they were out. The 2g while looking better was a freakin' tank but they did make other changes that were very negative.. weaker turbo (1g had a 14b), plastic BOV that leaked at anything over 14psi, etc.. So yes, be glad the EVO is moving forward and getting better and not going the way of the classic DSM's. That is until goes under completely and we have no Evo's at all anymore.

Marketing Hype

If you look at what is going on the changes are very clearly an American thing. This is mostly a set of features to bring the American cars in line with the balance of the ROW with respect to the body shop. Read a cost issue.

The balance are features offer little substance. The active center diff is in response to the Sti, while the missing Super AYC is the feature that makes the Evo special in my opinion.

Or did I miss something?

I NEED the part number for those bigger cup holders!!!! I have way more power than an MR for I'm good there.... But I can only get one big gulp at a time. With the bigger cup holders I hac haul *** and drinks!!!!!!!

LMAO. Sometimes it's the little things that make such an impact.
