You lived in the UK? Guess that makes you an expert then . The FQ won't make it here. Why? Well, emissions for one. They get round the emissions thing in the UK - which, as you should know being an expert and all, is a lot more lapse than here - by installing the FQ bits after the car has been registered. I really don't think that is going to wash here in the US.

It will have a better suspension setup than the stock Evo. The MR will have the Bilstein shocks and some other goodies (search the MR threads, you'll find the info).

I believe the torque numbers for the MR FQs remains around 300 lb/ft, same as the US MR, even though they get more horsepower. A full 3" exhaust, cams, and more aggressive engine mapping should easily put the US MR in the MR FQs' league -- except no Super AYC.

I wish but I also doubt that Ralliart will prep cars in the US. I'll take the RS450 conversion please.

We will get a RalliArt upgrade set here when we get a RalliArt USA. Which does not exist! No RalliArt, no UPGRADES!

i believe when the evo 8 was introduced to the world, which was at the 2003 los angeles auto show, mitsubishi announced that ralliart will come to the united states. and it has in the form of the lancer ralliart. I am sure the line will move with eclipse and evo since that is what mitsubishi said.

You don't get what I mean. I mean an actual RalliArt division. There is no such thing in the US. There does not exist a RalliArt USA. That is just a car. If you want to get RalliArt parts from RalliArt directly, you need to go outside the US. There are some distributors, but there is no actual support from a RalliArt USA.

You know what Eva01 you're absolutely right, I guess the same can be said for Subaru STI (what does STI stand for?)
So Subaru doesn't have an STI USA devision, (Idiot)

It is a matter of time, Mitsu and Ralliart are one unit, they know there is a market here in US and there are people out there who want a car tuned by the people that know the car the best, RALLIART, they have had years and years of experience with Evo's, with the WRC and so on, they know what works and what doesn't, So don't tell us that there will never be a Ralliart USA, Just cause it doesn't exist now doesn't mean it isn't going to exist.

I never said it was not going to exist. I said that until you have it, you will not have the upgrades available for it from dealer. That means with warranty intact.

F***in' Quick... I'm not kidding:

It is easiest to start with the number - 300. No problem there, the car has 300lbs.ft of torque and 305bhp. Not that the regular Evo VII is exactly underpowered (282lbs.ft of torque and 276bhp). Now, the fun part - "FQ". Mitsubishi are a socially aware, allegedly a politically correct company. Which is why they couldn't possibly print the real meaning of FQ. Q is obviously for "quick". So what in the English language could the F stand for? I'm sorry, but I am not going to print the word here for you, as I'm sure your imagination can do it for me. Yes, it really is the word you are thinking.

you can find lots of info on the MR versions of the EVO at www.evo.co.uk. This is the official site of EVO magazine. When you enter the site do a search for any of the evo models.

What I want to know is what does the new FQ-340 have that I can put into my car to get those numbers.
