Stock MR in the UK Dynos at 320 bhp

http://www.lancerregister.com/showth...threadid=51227

See link above to MLR. A stock UK-spec MR (FQ300) dyno'ed at 320 bhp and 292 lb-ft. Since Mitsu quotes the output on this car at 300 bhp, they appear to be underating peak horsepower.

Makes you wonder what the actual hp for our MR's will be....

It says at the flywheel. So who knows what the actual WHP was.

Actually if I am reading that right in a quick glance, it looks like only around @225whp.

those figures are atf... (you can see I posted on that thread) ... rule of thumb states approx 24% loss through transmission with the Evo., so it'd probably be about 245bhp atw. Mitsubishi always shy on the side of caution when stating performance figures, and it's good news to all MR owners...that would suggest I'd be looking at approx 345bhp with my MR320...and with the decat, maybe as high as 360/370 . The man in question (afterdark) has big big things planned for his car, so don't expect it to be any less than 500bhp by next year.

man i don't know about 1.5 bar of boost standard... thats hella boost for a stock car... thats almost 22 psi which wouldn't it be maxing the turbo out in stock form? something doesn't sound too correct...

Doesn't the MR have a different turbo to the regular EVO, so maybe it can boost higher.

yes it does have a different turbo to the previous model...you'll notice it was the other man who stated 1.5bar. AD's evo is completely standard...whether that means 1.5 bar or not.

Cheers,

Matt

Stock VIII's do about 225-230 on Dynojet. It should be a little higher for the MR.
