Question Will U.S. MRs have the same problems with their 6-speeds as Evos did overseas??

I just remembered that there was a recall on 6-speed transmissions overseas not too long ago. Will we be having the same problems when we take delivery of our MRs?

I hope not but does anyone have any information regarding this situation?

Thanks in advance.

There was a problem with the linkage arm on the tranny. It was a recall so they should have fixed it for our USDM 6 speeds

i've heard of no problems with the new 6-spd in the UK MR's. most of the reported problems were in the early evo VIII's.

Thge latest Road&Track article on the MR even explicitly mentions the shift quality of the new 6-speed. So I suspect the trouble was indeed the linkage and they have fixed it before release of the MR.

The recall was for a portion of the shift linkage, and it was over a year ago... it has long since been fixed.
