With a UTEC set at '0' (pass through mode) can anyone (Mitsu) tell that you have it installed by hooking up to the OBDII port?

 

No.. They cannot tell.. In fact, unless the car was being driven somewhere, it would be difficult to tell the UTEC is installed at all, unless they looked directly at the ECU or if they see the little ABC valve installed in the boost lines (if you even bothered install it, most people don't initially install it anyway)

BTW before anyone buys one for an 05 or MR.. Call up turboXS and verify the UTEC works with an 05.. As far as I can tell the 04's have the same ECU wiring, but there may be some variation in the 05's boost control features among some other things.
