need quick answer please N2O and utec extra solenoid controller

can i hook up the ground from the solenoids to my utec spare solenoid controller or do i need to run a relay... the utec circuit is rated for 2 amps
it looks like the solenoids are pulling 8.5 to 9 amps on the ground circuit if that makes any sense at all -----------
regards rick

you should run a relay simply for safety.. you don't want the load going through the solenoids to be drawn through the UTEC.. Last thing you want is to burn out the driver on the UTEC.. Its transistor switched so you want some sort of relay anyway.
