What is the value of your boost control gain?
What is the value of your boost control gain?
I am running close loop boost control. I've lowered the number for boost control gain to 40 and I don't get spike. From a rolling 1200 rpm, 3rd gear, my boost hit 20 psi at 4000 rpm. Looks like there is still room to improve the gain? Just for a reference, what do you have for boost control gain?
I've set my close loop boost to hoover around 19.5-20.5 psi.
So how much and how long of a spike is considered safe? (I am running 91 octane, sea level).

I have my gain set at 50.
I have my ABC out 2 1/4 turns.
My boost map is 385 up to 5000 then up to 400, 420 then 450.
My boost hits 20ish but drops off to 17 at redline.
I can't get it to stay up to redline.
When I had an HKS EVC V, it was rock solid whatever I set it to all the way to redline.
What's the trick to get this thing stable and hold to redline?

sounds like a boost leak to me. I set my ABC to 2.5 turn out, then 390 up to around 5000, but no higher then 415 by redline and it holds boost quite well. I am using Greddy Type-S BOV, so I am not sure if it has to do with your BOV. Did you try any other Boost Control Gain number? Mine is now 39 and it seems to ramp up faster with spike less than 1 psi.
