Purchased UTEC + TXS TBE

Hi guys, my UTEC and TBE are scheduled to arrive this coming Wednesday. I am getting the TBE installed on the 28th and doing the UTEC install myself. My question is, once its all installed, can I expect to run the Stage 2 map off the website without any problems? BTW, I am in WA - 92 octane here.

Do everything yourself, the exhaust is very easy to do. The TXS maps are a good starting point but would never run it without tuning it, on some cars the maps run very lean.

So I should wait to load a map into the utec until I either get it tuned by a shop or get the Tuner Pro?

About the exhaust install, the shop is quoting me $135...I dont feel too comfortable doing it myself, doesn't the radiator need to be pulled?

if your installing the turboback
radiator does not have to be pulled at all

downpipe is real easy to install

135 is alot for installation
when you can do it yourself in like 2 hours..

my .02 cents

Looked up a how to on the exh install, looks pretty easy! I think I'll do it myself.

About the UTEC, should I wait to use the Stage 2 map until I get a Tuner Pro?

install on Turboback is fairly simply.
as for the UTEC since every unit runs different A/F ratio
it's really unsafe to use the Stage 2 map with it without a Tuner or WideBand.

if you really have to run the stage 2 map without W/D you can still run it but to put that extra safety margin just to make sure things dont become too lean.
I suggest you lower the Injector flow to 500cc under Open Lop Fuel manu.

by doing that it will give you between 5-10% of margin safty *(notice I didn't say 10% althought 550 to 500 is a 10% drop, Due to every UTEC drives the injectors they same way but outcome may vary)

Sure, PM me with price

Any downside to using the Zeitronix Wideband instead of tuner pro?

Thanks!

So I got the exhaust and UTEC yesterday (both used). The cat delete pipe has a bung welded on it for wideband o2...the downpipe has no bung. Should I have the one on the cat delete filled and a new bung put in the downpipe?

Well, talked to turboxs, they said it wouldn't make a difference.

Hey Airs,
Nathan from TurboXS will be coming to tune the UTEC at Perfection Motorsports next month here in Hillsboro OR. You should plan on coming down for that!
Perfection Motorsports is finishing up with my car today and I have a TBE, Fuel Pump, and an AVC-R and I am putting out just over 300WHP. They really know how to tune the UTEC there!!
