fcheng118 is, but he doesn't post on here too much. His car pulls very hard. Seems like 0 lag.

I think pullies are a good idea.. Can't hurt to have them.. On a stock ECU where resonance may confuse the ECU and cause it to pull timing, or a piggyback system that relies on the stock ECU, then i'd recommend against it (Since several tuners have stated they had difficulties with registering noise due to the pullies)

anything that will put less mass on the engine will allow it to rev more freely... Some pulley systems are just lightweight, others are slightly underdrive.. I don't know how sensitive our alternator is to underdrive pullies so I'd stick with the ones that don't alter anything except mass.

I know I'll get alot of crap for this, but the UTEC or a standalone has the unique ability to be able to deal with these anomolies that a flash or other piggyback might have trouble with.

The reason that I ask is because I've yet to figure out my misfire problem with the UTEC installed running Map 0 (runs fine without the UTEC) and was wondering if maybe the pulley could be a related problem. I've reflashed the firmware a few times successfully as well and when I datalog, it doesn't register the cutout as knock.

I'd hate to give up the pulley (lightweight and underdriven), the gains with it were pretty good and I haven't noticed any problems with the charging system.

Thanks for the help.

I just bought a utec and lightened crank pulley. I've also removed my ac and will be removing my balance shafts. I'm glad to hear the crank pulley doesn't cause any problems, any recomendations with the other things?
