MalibuJack, I haven't seen you on in a while. Heres a couple of questions:

I see that the AEM EMS has boost control capabilities, but most people set an MBC at a specific PSI and let it go. Why?

Why not use an EBC of some degree?

I also notice that some use the GM Boost Solenoid....what are the pros and cons?

I still can't figure out what the heck Im gonna do, even with the Nemesis in mind.....

Hey.. I'm around, just not as active since I have been preparing for a move..

yes, the AEM EMS is capable of boost control, I do not know why most people don't utilize it.. I would have to assume its due to the stock solenoid is a bleed system, and most don't realize you can use a GM BCS instead...

I have tried both the boost solenoid for a GM and the stock solenoid, currently I have the stock solenoid and the Turboxs ABC, the GM solenoid actually worked better, but I never got the impedence right on the solenoid so I constantly threw a CEL...

See, I dont wanna go out and spend yet another 3-500 bucks on an EBC when I can get a good boost solenoid and run it with the EMS. Now, this may sound stupid, but with the AEM unit, it is possible to set target boost levels, correct?

Whats to stop setting the wastegate to be held closed until the turbo spools, enhancing spool up? I figure that with an MBC, turbo pressure acts on the wastegate to hold it closed in essence feeding the turbo more exhaust gases. But it NEEDS that pressure before it can do anything. Is it possible with a solenoid not dependant on boost pressure, to hold the wastegate closed to maintain a higher level of pressure on the hot side, to aid in spool?

I had a few beers, so excuse me if I neither make sense nor speak correctly or am rambling.
