the best for my wants
the best for my wants
Hey guys, kinda new to this so don't bash me too bad. I've looked at each of the FMU's and I'm still having a problem deciding the best route to go. I havent done allot of mods yet, just the exhaust,o2 and thats it right now,,,a divorce will slow you down......but im looking at a mild build close to 400hp range more than likely mid 3's to the ground when its all said and done. So something that when I upgrade further it will be what I need but that I can still use now.
I'm looking for something that i can keep the fuel economy normal with for day to day but when its time to give someone the business then lets go. Something i can do on the move, up the boost, up the fuel and we are good. I would say the AFC-II but I wanted to ask around for some opinion based on what you have or have had. Like I said, I'm still new to the game so reading about different fuel maps and this that and the other is all new...thanks for any help

If you are looking for fuel economy, go with some ignition upgrades. This is often overlooked and you would be suprised what new wires and plugs will do. I totaled my car befor i got my MSD ignition 6 in 1 in, but i could tell ( like 15 to 25hp ) just from MSD 8.5 wires, Bosch 4-plus platnuim, and optima battery, no telling what you could tune out from that 6 in 1. With better electricals, you will burn your gas cleaner and quicker, MORE HP! I had a Jeep Cherokee running 10s in a 8th with nothnig more. Beat a eclipse by a second and a half! IN A JEEP which is not built for speed. For the price it is worth it. Not to mention, your car will sound like it has that power.
