Stock MR w/S-AFC Logs
1.8t, my Dynoflash timing doesn't look too different in that range. It looks like in general the mail-in flash timing is more conservative than the SAFC tune, which surprises me a bit for an SAFC car with stock injectors.
My Dynoflash mail-in timing:
RPM Timing
----- -------
3527.0 8.0
3855.0 7.0
4188.0 7.0
4520.0 7.0
4859.0 9.0
5180.0 9.0
5508.0 10.0
5797.0 11.0
6098.0 12.0
6395.0 12.0
6660.0 14.0
6906.0 15.0
7172.0 16.0
1.8t, how do you know that your custom Dynoflash is in the 10s? Do you have a wideband? Was your custom tune a road tune or a dyno tune?
EDIT: Oops...just see that you said dyno tune. How did the AFRs look on the dyno? I thought that the AFR would go leaner on the street, not richer?

So, 1.8t, was the AFR leaner when the car was tuned by Al on the dyno?
How many pulls did you make at Top Speed. It looks like from the pull number that maybe this was your 8th pull? If the pulls were too close together, then you'll get richer than normal AFRs. I see this all the time on the street with my wideband. Al says that the coolant temp correction maps are very aggressive with the stock ECU (and he is still working on a fix to moderate the richening with elevated coolant temps). In any case, your car looks like it's making good power.

Well, it was my 4th pull and Al shuts the car down in between runs to eliminate the coolant enrichment as much as possible. On the 3rd pull he had the A/F mid 11's all the way through and the car made 331whp and 315wtq. Apparently the car was knocking some in the midrange w/ that tune because I guess the graph was a little to jumpy for Al so on the next pull he gave it the a/f you see on the graph. I am wondering if it would even be worthwhile for me to nab an S-AFC to lean this spot out some. If the car does knock with anything leaner than a 10:1 then it would be counter productive for me to lean it out and there is also the possibility that I wouldn't pick up any power. All I would really be able to do then is use the S-AFC to tune my car on 26psi and race gas. I would also use it to tune my car on out to 7600rpm as my current tune is only to 7100ish rpm. I understand that I won't make great power up that high, but I can make more power than I am making right now due to it richening back up hardcore. It would be useful for those races when my shorter gearing makes it hard to match up with a taller geared car.
