need immediate help! can't get LM-1 to datalog rpm...

hello.

i have an Innovate LM-1 wideband. it works great; only problem is that i have the datalogging LMA-2 module, which i have hooked up to read in the rpm, so that i can make runs and later look at the rpm vs A/F.

i have tried hooking it up directly to the rpm wire signal going to the ecu.

i have tried making a bare wire end and wrapping it around one of the spark plug leads....

no dice, no matter how i have it configured, it reads around 2000 rpm always on the rpm tracing. the red light is on steady when it is hooked up; i have done the calibration both ways; have done it with the computer's sound card, and with the car holding steady at 2000 rpm and hitting the setup button...

can anyone help? i have a major tuning session i need to do tonight!

thanx

todd

Do you have the rpm pickup cable? I wouldn't want to splice ecu tach wires on other customer's cars. If you had to, did you wire into the correct one? Are you actually logging that selection? I think you'd have to configure the voltages compared to rpms aswell. Post on the innovative forum. Klaus would help you out a lot more than i can.

Mine is tapped into the tach wire on the ECU harness and no problems here.
