Question Where to get my UTEC installed and tuned?

The two choices around me are Gruppe-S and Vishnu.

Does anyone suggest one over the other for a UTEC install and tune?

Thanks!

OK... it sounds like it will be either Vishnu or Works... as they seem to be the only two local tuners I know.. hahaha

What have you guys paid to get this installed and tuned? What amount of $$ should I be looking to spend for this?

Just to clarify things, I never say we can tune Utec here. My recommendation to you was to go with a SAFC and a boost controller which all our evos are running and getting good results. My 05 evo (272 cams, full exhaust, safc, and avcr) dyno out to be 282whp and 277tq.

Don't get me wrong...UTEC is a great unit but I recommend my customer based on my personal experience and what I think its best for them.

Thanks,
Tom

Chills you will want to get with someone that has used the UTEC and successfully tuned cars with it. Otherwise you may be disappointed with the results. Works has done quite a few UTEC's I believe so they may be the best solution. Just go talk to the guys and find out who you want to work with! Its very important that your personality fits with the guys working on your car or you will just be heading into troubles!

As for payment that is up in the air. The UTEC installs in about 10 minutes so that shouldnt really cost you anything. As for your tuning it will most likely be at a shop rate and will vary greatly depending on how modded you are. If you get with peeps that have a lot of time with the UTEC and Evo's they most likely can get stuff done in a couple of hours. I've paid over 3k getting my car tuned but I have had the car too two different tuners!
Good luck!

Harman Motive tunes UTECs as well, but they are in the LA area.
