Yeah, the Xede can handle somewhat bigger than stock injectors like the UTEC. That's why I said it has trouble with "big" injectors, ie 800 and above...

MJ is the guy to listen to. After extensive conversations (mostly me asking questions and him rattling off seamless answers) I concluded that I will have to go the standalone route myself for what Im looking for. Im going to use a Greddy Profec B-Spec II EBC, PLX300 WBO2 and the EMS and I'll basically be able to do anything. Tinkering is enjoyable to me, so I'll have fun with it. Now I just need to get my damn manifold in and I can start tearing the car down.

Jack, PLX or whatever the company has the R500, the wireless.....which would seem redundant to use on an EMS with all the same capabilities. For the sake of arguement, what type of piggy back would one use this with, an e-manage? Most piggybacks arent diverse enough to handle the type of info that wideband O2 would throw at it....and the ones that CAN handle it already have those features built in. Just seems SO cool, but completely overkill. Especially since I want to lose my MAF and have zero regard for OBD testing as the town I "live" in in PA will be adopting tail pipe sniffing in 6 months...hehehe

Actually, you can check out the MAFTPRO, its an interesting device, and can use wideband input to actually target WOT tuning.. Its main claim to fame is its the first inexpensive SPEED DENSITY conversion (though it will also work with a Cobra or GM MAF)

I think the ECU+ can also use the wideband for logging, but I dont know if it can target AFR in open loop.. YOu should check on that because the ECU+ will allow a blowthrough MAF (GM) Conversion shortly for the Evo..

Of course, I'll always recommend the UTEC over anything else, but I try to be as unbiased as possible. And if you don't have to worry about OBD-II issues, I definitely would suggest doing a standalone if you have the monetary and tuning resources to accomplish it.

Jack, so many toys, so little time and energy to use them all. One GOOD standalone like the AEM or Autronic thats plug and play will do me fine....I hope.....damn credit card companies....been waiting patiently for my new card!!

Lucky.. you don't have to worry about OBD-II, I'd much rather deal with a sniffer over the OBD-II Plug..

I dont expect it to last long, but just the same, I'll deal with it when it comes. Im more torn over which wideband to use with the AEM. That plx r500 is ridiculous. Redundant with all its features doubled onto the EMS' but just the same, very cool.
