UTEC pulled timing?

I just recently filled up with 100 octane (the car had 110 before and was running 1.8kg/cm of boost on a different map). I turned the boost down on my MBC, switched to 100 octane map and went for a test run. The boost still spiked to 1.7kg/cm and I could feel a slight power loss right away with boost dropping to 1.4 . I was just wondering if that was UTEC retarding the timing?
Thanks

I don't have a laptop to pull a data log now, but I'll try to do it later. I didn't notice the CEL blinking, because I was looking at the boost gauge at the time. The car did the same thing when I had a reflash and hit a boost spike.

Nope. You need to log it as it happens.
