Question for you EVO guys,...

I actually do not own an EVO. But my '04 Sonata (Hyundai) has a 4g64 in it. I've come to notice your engines are 4g63's. My displacement is 2.4 (non turbo), and the 4g63 is a turbo 2.0.

So as to why I am here:

There really isn't that much available for the "Sonata". But a hell of a lot for the EVO. Granted, the internals are non-interchangable, but what of the externals? The blocks are the same so a good set of headers should bolt up.

So tell me,.. what is the best bolt on HP/TRQ I can get? Tks 4 Ur help.

I think he has a pretty valid question. The 4g64 is a pretty decent motor and have one in my garage for a stroker project. There is quite a bit that you can do to it. Search on google and you'll have quite a few good sites to go off of.

Plus if the price is too high for Mitsu parts head to the hyundai dealer and cross reference the numbers. Hyundai prices are a hell of a lot cheaper but the exact same part.

ok. im sorry. you know what? ill even agree with the above poster in saying it actually does look pretty decent despite being a hyundai. its definately very clean at least lol. and they do make pretty good cars- but economy cars. its just not something i would think of trying to hookup or get power out of. thats the only reason i was skeptical at first.

JaReDbOy is right. Also, this is NOT the forum for that question since we (evos) start our mods way past the point where he's gonna start from. He should be posting that question in the non-turbo forum.

I still like the car. Classy with rims. I'll consider some porting, cams (if available) and a bolt on supercharger (if available).

Took you guys long enough to get back to me,... lol

Yes I also agree. Hyundai suck. But image your surprise when I'm staging next to you, and next you see my side of the track lighting up? (Yeah,.. never gonna happen. But a man can dream can't he?!?!)

Since our block are the same,.. I can get EVO headers, turbos, superchargers, etc. It's the internal stuff I cannot interchange. But if you think about it,.. since I can external bolt on, say same as a stock EVO, but my engine litre is bigger,.... aside from the tracking problems I will obviously have, I could probably hang. But if not,.. I always have my '81 Z28: 383 stroked, 350 trans w/ shift kit, 411 gears. But you guys don't care about that stuff I'm sure.
