Hesitation when I go WOT

I have spent hours tring to figure out why I get hestiation when I go WOT. No matter what I do my car hesitates when I floor it. When I select Map0 my car runs fine. I have logged about 15 minutes of driving using my conservative methanol map. Someone please take a look and let me know if something is odd. I am starting to think my UTEC unit may be defective... BTW I get the hestiation even with the StageI and StageII maps provided by UTEC. In the following logs I can no longer go past around 5k at WOT on Map0 because of the stock fuel cut.

Someone please help!!!

EDIT: 2 of log files had the wrong names.

The hesitation is probably the transition point your hitting.. I'll have to look at it later though.

I cannot make sense out of that log. Can you find a clearer way to post it. Maybe from wordpad.

In my 05 i have the same problem, it was tuned by Turbo XS and they said the cars computer is pulling back boost when it realizes somthing is wrong. Dyno chart looks like i failed a lie detector test. not sure if its the same hesitation that your talkin about, could be a timing problem?

These logs are not making any sence. I can not tell what is what. Something seems wrong with these logs. Do you have a tuner and AFR's?

What program are you using to open the logs? They look fine in excel. The logs were generated with MPS UTEC Logger using a LM1 Wideband.

I am starting to think that something may be wrong with my unit. I have tried so many different things and I still get hesitation. It seems to happen right when UTEC takes control of the AFR/Timing. Like I would be cruising with the TPS at 10% and right when I get around 35% (I think thats when Open Loop starts) the car hesitates like I am getting a fuel cut. Even if slowly accelerate I get the hesitation. I have emailed TurboXS but have not received a response. I guess tomorrow I give them a call. BTW the car runs fine using map0!!! The only problem with map0 is with all the mods I have if i go WOT i hit fuel cut around 5.5k rpm.

Oh and when I first got UTEC about a month ago I tried using their staged maps. They would do the same damn thing!! I kept on using map0 so I could log and I was not really ready to mess with tuning the thing myself at that time.

OK The logs look fine? Why hasn't anyone else chimed in on your logs? Because they make no sense. I would love to help but I can not decifer what I am looking at. And yes I am opening them in excel.

I know this is going to sound stupid, but try re-gapping your spark plug a little smaller. If the gap is to wide the force of the high pressure air coming into the combustion chamber will acually "blow out" the spark sometimes. It may fix the problem. If not you didn't waste alot of time or effort on it... and it could be as simple as that.

Ya know what.. I just noticed you have a meth kit.. It sounds like it may be kicking in at a particular boost level and quenching ignition for a moment.. Also like the previous post said, check your plug gap, though a misfire would be evident around 5000rpm as a stumble..

I noticed that everytime UTEC takes control over timing from the stock ECU my car seems to hesitate. Feels like a misfire... Has anyone encountered something like this before? I have the AFR at the same exact levels as the stock when the transition from the stock ECU and UTEC takes place so I have no idea what else it could be. Here is the timing from my map:

I called TurboXS on friday and they told me to just reflash my UTEC which I did. Any other thoughts?

Yes, I usually get around it by setting the 10% column to ECU and removing some of the timing cells and setting them to ECU at lower RPM, then I log the transition and see what the timing is where it hiccups, and smooth the timing between what the ECU wants and the UTEC uses..

Well I was logging since I got a new actuator. I wanted to know what you guys think of my tuning progress. This is my everyday street map. This pull was done on 4th gear all the way up to the redline. Ignore the boost taper I am working on getting that fixed
