Reflash as a base map?

I am currently running a TT flash. I will be installing a UTEC with ALKY in a about a week. Will I need to reflash back to stock, or can I use my reflash as my base map?

As long as your tune is with stock injectors you will be fine.

I had a dynoflash tune when I installed my utec but I flashed back to stock just to start fresh.

I think your just going to have to be careful about not being to lean. Since the basemap will already be lean to begine with. Do you have wideband?

I plan on getting a wideband soon, but for now, I probably will have AMS do the tune, just to be on the safe side for now. I was just wondering if it was really necessary to go through the hassle of sending the ECU back.
I have a lil to learn still, at this level, as fuel maps are still somewhat new to me.
This car is too BAD AS* to screw up now!

In reality, the base flash of the ECU has very little to do with tuning the UTEC for performance. However you do need to be aware of a few things, If you have oversized injectors, the MAF scaling would have been altered so you would leave the "Stock Injector Size" alone. Also you would need to spend alot more time adjusting your transition points between the closed loop and open loop fueling, since the base map on the UTEC is more closely matched to the stock MAF scale and ECU flash, you have to spend time altering the settings to smooth it out. Do as much logging as you can before you try to run the map, then you have data to make changes.

You do need to get a wideband before you attempt to tune yourself. The base map on the UTEC OLF settings is a little lean if your running an aftermarket intake and exhaust. Timing is different and you'll have to probably adjust your transition, or clear the timing map and use the ECU Flashes timing for the time being.
