Can anyone confirm or deny that the Evo IX ECU has the same connections as the Evo VIII? I'm asking this question since I have a ECU+ and I have heard that the plug-n-play harness will not work with the IX...

 

I'm curious as well...also, what if any are the differences in the programming between the two? Minus the fact that one is for the MIVEC Cam timing and one, not.

 

Yes the EVO IX and the EVO VIII ECU harness is different. The EVO IX has 3 plugs vs 4 for the EVO VIII.

 

correct - all the pin outs have changed 100%

 

Does anyone have a pinout diagram of the EVO IX's ecu yet? Is it anything like the pinout for the Ralliart (4G69 w/ MIVEC)? It's been speculated about for almost a year buy us step children but with the IX stateside someone should have an answer right? Please let us know if you're lucky enough to have a IX!

I too was looking for the diagram of the ECU cause I wanted to connect my turbo timer to the speed sensor.

Pete @ Works helped me so now my turbo timer is fully functional sans the parking brake safety. I set my timer to beep whenever I go faster then 80 so it will remind me to slow down. Cool feature!

The US evo 9 ecu is similar to the UK one but there are slight differences.

 

I thought I had a contact to post or fax the ECU pins but it hasnt panned out yet. I'm still looking. Does anyone have this info defined elsewhere?

here they are for the europian 9 so confirm wire colors and pin positions before splicing
