I had a friend help me. That sensor is just drilled into the fire wall. The nipple on the sensor has a boost hose connected to it and then the other end was spliced as you saw in the pic to the fuel pressure regulator. The gray cord contains the power/ground/signal to the UTEC. Send that through the firewall and down to the UTEC behind the dash and plug it in. That should be all.

Relax,
I am coming back Saturday/Sunday this weekend. I can ship it Monday. If you want to pay the extra cost in shipping, I can overnight so you get it before then.

Wow, you drilled the firewall? There's already a hole on the drivers side. That's where I ran mine. I'll be selling mine soon too. It looks different though.

He drilled the fw to secure the sensor's body, not to run the boost line.
For those that always has a mechanical boost gague, you can just put teh sensor inside your cabin behind the dash somehow, and splice the boost line to your gauge's line.

I have a question about boost MAP sensor and it maybe a bit technical. Let's say I have a AEM 3.5 bar (~50.76 PSI) MAP (Absolute pressure) sensor. Normal atmospheric pressure is ONE bar (~14.50PSI) . Does it mean that the Maximum pressure I can measure/log is 2.5 bars (~36.26 PSI)?
And in the case of GM's 3Bar MAP sensor, is the max I can log/measure 29.00 PSI?
What then is the effect of going over the rated pressure (say I let mine spike over 30 PSI on a mechanical gauge) on a GM 3bar sensor?
TIA
