Temp dropped now my knock reading is HIGH!
So here's the deal. Last week it was in the mid 80's outside and now it's much cooler 60's- and 40's at night. Well starting this week my car started to hit fuel cut- even though I'm only running 14psi or so.
I added +2 fuel after 4800rpm and the fuel cut seems to be gone, but ever since monday my knk reading has been WAYY higher than normal. Usually the peak reading won't be above 50 on a drive, but lately it has been about 180 and once peaked to 208.
Please keep in mind this, now, is on even less boost. Like 12psi.
Should I even trust this reading? Why is is higher all of the sudden?

I found the problem... MY boost gauge somehow broke and was reading 5-10psi lower then it should have been. It makes a wierd rattling noise which tells me something broke inside.
The knock reading was high because I raised the boost to compensate for what I thought was a low boost reading. I was likely running 25psi on 91 octane which was giving me knock. Thank god I only did this for 1 day.
Moral of this story: don't buy autometer boost gauges. I've already had two malfunction.
