Evo3 SAFC2 Fitting Help Needed!

Evo III SAFC2 Help Needed!
Hi! I already did a search but can't find anything about this...
Just fitted a "2nd Hand" ApexI SAFC2 to my Evolution III according to the diagram and manual (from ApexI website) below:
I'm almost 100% positive I did everything in the manual. I even made sure that I put the 2 ground wires correctly(the brown one nearest the ECU with 1 cm gap from the black one farther from the ECU on the same ground wire) and I cut and connected the Airflow signal wire accurately.
Here's my problem(s):
1. It turns on fine. I set it up, I turn it off. When I turn it back on, ALL MY SETTINGS ARE GONE!
2. I don't get any reading on THROTTLE, KNOCK and BATTERY VOLTAGE (so far, that's all I was able to check). Only thing that's moving is the RPM, KARMAN and CORRECTION.
What could I have done wrong? Or have I gotten a defective unit(I sure hope NOT)?
