Question UTEC Generating Bad MAF Values

I have been getting CEL's for MAF out of range. Originally I thought it wa sa problem with my EIDS wiring, so I checked improved all the wiring for it.
However, I have recently noticed strange MAF values from my UTEC logs. In some cases, the UTEC is modifying the original MAF reading by 100, 700, or even 1800 percent!

Here is an example of one of the worst cases (notice the 5714 in the modified MAF column):
Code:
    , , , ,Load,Knock, , , Mod, Mod, , Mod, WB
 RPM, MAP, MAF,TPS,Site,Count, Ign#1, Inj#1, Ign, Fuel,Boost, MAF, AFR
    , psia, Hz, % , , , deg , duty , deg, % ,(OL) , Hz,
 3835,+27.6, 339, 23, 00, 00, +28.8, 13.7,ECU. ,+12.0,100.00, 290, 00.00
 3898,+27.6, 344, 23, 00, 00, +29.8, 14.1,ECU. ,+12.0,100.00, 291, 00.00
 3949,+27.6, 337, 23, 00, 00, +29.8, 12.3,ECU. ,+12.0,100.00, 280, 00.00
 3862,+27.6, 298, 14, 00, 00, +34.1, 14.9,ECU. ,+12.0, 91.00,5714, 00.00
 3527,+27.6, 42, 0, 00, 00, +34.0, 5.4,ECU. ,+12.0,ECU. , 35, 00.00
 3156,+27.6, 42, 0, 00, 00, +25.9, 5.2,ECU. ,+12.0,ECU. , 35, 00.00
 2796,+27.6, 42, 1, 00, 00, +22.6, 4.1,ECU. ,+12.0,ECU. , 187, 00.00
When I run into such cases, the car stumbles and I get a CEL if the value is modified so much that it goes out of range (as in the example above). The fuel map contains +12 for all cells represented in the above log data.

Anyone have any thoughts on what is going on here?

Thanks.

Yeah. Take the EIDS off. The EIDS is trying to compensate for the throttle lift the same time the UTEC is most likely switch back to either a different load cell or open to closed loop.

Or try to do about 50% throttle and then let off and see if it stumbles there. Post up the full log also.

I didn't mention it above, but I actually did try removing the EIDS for a while and the problem still occured. I also tried a different, brand new, EIDS and the problem still occured.
What I find interesting is that the UTEC shows the actual MAF reading (which is what would be coming out of the EIDS) and the bad value is the one it outputs. So the difference is occuring within the UTEC.

Try reloading the firmware. Save all of your maps, and write down your settings first.

Tried reloading the firmware. I think I will have to talk to TurboXS about this one.

I just noticed this same problem in a friend's log today. He had one Mod. MAF entry of over 6000 Hz! And he doesn't have an EIDS. What I am noticing is that this always occurs around a change in the throttle position.

Has anyone else seen strange MAF readings like this in the logs?
